Tasks

-Responsible for developing and issuing the project requirements and instructions to the production team. This includes ensuring that all drawings, inspection hold points, and work instructions are correct and within specification. -Track project costs and progress and report out to clients, the project team, and company management. -Assist QA department with technical issues regarding customer project specifications related to NDE, fabrication, welding, and machining. -Plan all project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using the appropriate software tools. -Perform project analysis at project completion, including evaluation of cost, delivery, and lessons learned. -Coordinate project sub-contract work (i.e. plate rolling, machining, painting, heat treating, etc.). -Manage scope changes, identify cost and delivery impact, and communicate internally and to clients. -Develop customer relationships in order to develop long-term customer retention. -Assist sales and estimating department to develop quotations from client RFQ’s. -Primary point of contact with customers, ensuring that customer expectations are being met. -Responsible for identifying cost and schedule over-runs and provide recommendations for action to correct. -Manage the company’s projects from receipt of order through project completion; including taking responsibility for scheduling, documentation, budget, customer communication, and any other activities required for success of the project. -Work in a fabrication shop environment.

What You Bring

-Knowledgeable in estimating the fabrication cost of custom metal fabrications. -Minimum 2 years of project management experience; PMP is beneficial. -Excellent relationship management skills, both internally and externally. -Knowledgeable in fabrication and machining practices, material specifications, and subcontracted trades capabilities. -Ability to speak, write, and understand English clearly. -Occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb. -Knowledge of TEKLA design software is beneficial. -Knowledgeable of AISC and ASME code; having experience in fabrication, and project management. -Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. -Proven delivery of successful projects; on schedule and within budget. -Knowledgeable in general business concepts such as budgeting, sales, negotiation, goal setting, and project P&L. -Travel will be required to attend training and meetings. -Ability to sit or stand for entire shift -Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Construction Management or equivalent experience. -Be able to work effectively both independently, with minimal supervision, as well as closely with customers, inspectors, and shop trades in a small team environment. -Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
