Tasks

-Tracks quality assurance progress. -Responsible for setting own project deadlines. -Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records. -Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning. -Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties. -Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers. -Provides on the job training to new employees.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment -Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance processes -Certification as a Construction Inspector from a recognized organization (e.g., NICET) -Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and traverse construction sites -Relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals. -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Clark County Public Works & NDOT project experience -Proficiency in using computer software for reporting and documentation -2+ years of experience in construction inspection or related field -5+ years of experience in highway construction inspection -Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field -High school diploma or equivalent. -Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications -Experience with state and federal highway construction standards and regulations -Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards -Motor vehicle check required, valid driver's license.
