EGSE Support Engineer

Overview

Support deployment, commissioning, and maintenance of EGSE in satellite assembly clean rooms.

Tasks

-Supporting any existing employee who acquires a disability or long term health condition, enabling them to stay in work at least one activity that will make a difference for disabled people -Anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments as required -Managing and prioritizing the manufacturing processes -Communicating and promoting vacancies -Procurement,Managing and prioritizing the manufacturing processesValidation and certification for use in the AIT facility -Offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job -Production of relevant EGSE documentation (e.g. Validation Procedures, Supporting NC reviews) -Commissioning of hardware -Composition of AIT procedures -Ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible -Procedure and test report writing

What You Bring

We are looking for energetic and driven engineers with broad expertise, however of particular interest would be candidates with (in order of priority) military, aerospace, marine or rail experience. This role represents a great opportunity to work on cutting edge technology projects. Valued attributes are a team player who can use their initiative and has a real passion for engineering with an attention to detail, combined with a thorough, methodical approach to problem solving. -Some scripting skills (Test sequence coding in TCL, knowledge of Central Checkout System CCS5 or similar) -Procedure writing. -Knowledge of S/C database management would be an asset -Where applicable suitable experience in addition to a lower qualification would be acceptable -Experience in Environmental test/launch campaign would be an asset -UK sole National -Ability and willingness to travel to and work on the clients Stevenage site 5 days per week -Non-conformance reporting -Validation and certification for use in the AIT facility -Experience in satellite avionics and serial data protocols (e.g. RS4xx, MIL 1553, Spacewire) -Satellite Reference Database (SRDB) / MIB format will be a plus -SC cleared without caveats -Knowledge of EGSE/ATE (Power, Data Handling and/or RF) -Ability to use a range of laboratory test equipment such as Power Supplies, DMMs, Oscilloscopes etc. -Degree in engineering with ideally electrical background -Requirements Management (RATIONAL DOORS knowledge would be considered an asset) -Debug/fault finding
