Manages property financials, prepares statements, budgets, reconciliations, and cash analysis.

Tasks
-Maintain weekly cash position analysis. -Prepare workpapers and participate in the annual audits. -Review accuracy of rent rolls. -Prepare monthly property allocation (if any.) -Prepare month end journal and closing entries. -Prepare and analyze annual budgets. -Communicate and process monthly debt service. -Prepare financial statements and reporting packages. -Preparing and entering journal entries. -Prepare monthly bank requisitions. -Review monthly billings statements. -Prepare CAM and tax reconciliations. -Analyze financial data and summarize in a clear, useful manner.

Property Management group based in Manhattan is looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Senior Property Accountant responsible for preparing all financial statements and providing management/client with financial information requested. Yardi a must! -3 to 5 years’ experience as a Senior Property Accountant. -Strong people skills. -Experience with Yardi software. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Excellent organizational skills. -Effective leadership abilities. -Meticulous attention to details and accuracy. -Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. -Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university. -Experience with CAM/Tax billings helpful. -Proficient in MS Word and Excel. -Yardi or MRI experience helpful. Real estate industry experience required. -Prior public accounting experience is a plus.
