  • Target flawless technical delivery within project scope objectives
  • Ensure compliance with PM Group and/or customer procedures, organize appropriate reviews (including peer reviews) and approve project documents for issue
  • Develop and manage the compilation of the Architectural Group master deliverable lists and adapt them to suit individual project requirements
  • Develop the Architectural team and ensure on-going personal development needs are identified
  • Support pre-sales and post business development activities including scoping, proposal / man hour generation, resource allocation (select / manage the teams capability), client visits, change control, etc.
  • Ensure the Architectural Group technology initiatives by meeting group strategy in terms of BIM or other applications
  • Ensure effective resource planning and manage the team within the utilization targets set by the annual budgets
  • Identify areas for architectural delivery improvements/efficiencies throughout the project enabling us to deliver projects more efficiently while meeting client requirements
  • Interface with counterparts in other offices to share resources, maximize utilization and align working practices
  • Ensure the highest quality of services and provide advice as needed for effective project delivery
  • Provide oversight of the progress and quality of the Architectural Group deliverables
  • Management ownership of the department including direct line management of the team including all HR issues, working with recruitment and development requirements
  • Assist with developing project schedules and coordinate between all disciplines to ensure the design is in accordance with the agreed project schedule, track/report progress and implement man-hour controls
  • Ensure that all projects comply with applicable local, international and client codes and standards
  • Develop and deliver an architectural group development plan for the business aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Support selected projects as a Lead Architect, SME or Design Manager

  • 15 + Years of experience working within a CGMP regulated / life sciences environment
  • Strong work ethic, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality
  • Previous experience providing architectural consulting services to clients
  • Excellent communication, documentation & people skills
  • Good organizational and leadership skills
  • A forward planner who identifies and resolves project issues
  • Registered Architectural licensure (RA) in practicing states is required
  • Proven understanding of architectural execution methodologies for CGMP life science facilities
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to critically assesses own performance and the performance of others
  • Broad experience in interdisciplinary coordination on projects in the life sciences industry
  • Experience functioning as an Architectural Leader supporting multiple life science projects
  • The flexibility and willingness to travel moderately to meet client and project requirements, speaking engagements, industry events, etc.
  • A Bachelor of Architecture or a Master of Architecture degree from an accredited college is required
  • LEED GA or AP preferred
  • NCARB Certification preferred
