The Role
Overview
Manage and oversee outside plant construction projects, budgets, schedules, and teams.

Tasks
-Liaise with estimating to ensure projects comply with cost, revenue, and schedule -Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise activities of all operations’ employees on assigned projects -Confer with project personnel to update project schedules every week -Interface with field managers, clients, subcontractors, and owners to assure customer satisfaction -Prepare and submit invoicing every week -Prepare weekly revenue and cost reports -Cultivate and continuously seek to enhance an in-depth understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities -Oversee total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed by design, budget, and schedule -Keep direct contact with projects in progress by visiting project sites -Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs -Prepare status reports and modify schedules or plans as required -Work with the Office Manager to ensure compliance with all internal reporting deadlines. -Carry out supervisory responsibilities such as training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints or resolving problems according to company policies -Prepare project reports for management, client, or others, including dollar estimates to complete and variance analysis for significant items -Analyze projects for adherence to budget and percentage of profitability -Directly supervise 4 to 8 Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Construction Supervisors -Assist in disputes on all projects, negotiating as required to resolve construction problems -Work to resolve all accounts receivable invoices over 51 days -Examine estimates of material, equipment, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy -Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and interpret policies as required -Oversee all bid projects, including P&L responsibility and management of fleet assets dedicated to bid projects

What You Bring
-You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality -Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form -You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work -Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience -Able to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical procedures, or governmental regulations -Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only standardization exists -Have 5 years of management level experience in outside plant construction -Have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications -Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public -Able to write reports and business correspondence -Have strong organizational and business management skills -Possess strong written and verbal communication skills are required
