Tasks
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Architect/Designer at MGA Architecture. The Project Architect/Designer will be responsible for overseeing project submittals and managing architectural projects. The role involves hands-on project management and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should possess a strong architectural background and demonstrate proficiency in various design and drafting software. This role involves collaborating with clients, engineers, and contractors to develop innovative architectural solutions that meet project requirements. The Project Architect/Designer will be responsible for overseeing the design process from concept through construction, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. -Collaborate with project teams to develop construction documents and manage project timelines effectively. -Draft renovation plans and modifications based on client feedback and site conditions. -Engage in construction estimating to provide accurate project cost assessments. -Conduct site visits to assess progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with design intent. -Lead the architectural design process for multiple projects, ensuring adherence to client specifications and regulatory standards. -Coordinate with other disciplines to identify potential clashes in the design phase. -Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle. -Create detailed architectural drawings and specifications using CAD software, Sketchup, and other design tools.

What You Bring
-Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards. -Certifications in LEED or BIM are a plus. -Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, and Adobe Creative Suite with working knowledge of Revit. -Registration as a licensed Architect is preferred, but candidates working toward licensure will be considered. -Capable of multi-tasking on medium to large complex projects. -5 to 10 years professional experience as Architect/Designer or similar role within an architectural firm. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture or a related field. -A working knowledge of all phases of project delivery. -Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. -Candidates should be U.S. citizens, residents of Oahu, or seriously interested in relocating.
