
Building Technician III – Mobile Truck Team

Tasks
Maintain clear communication with dispatch, property teams, and management regarding service status and resolution. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Provide on-site assessments, recommendations, and follow-up repairs or adjustments. Recommend system improvements, upgrades, or replacements based on field findings. Respond to scheduled and unscheduled service calls across multiple customer locations. Support minor plumbing repairs, leak detection, and fixture replacements. Serve as a technical resource for junior technicians and support team members. Assist with project work, equipment installs, and system startups when required. Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, pumps, motors, VFDs, air handlers, exhaust fans, and general building systems. Inspect and repair electrical components including lighting, breakers, switches, and control panels. Operate and monitor building automation systems (BAS) and respond to system alerts. Interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and wiring diagrams. -Maintain clear communication with dispatch, property teams, and management regarding service status and resolution. -Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. -Provide on-site assessments, recommendations, and follow-up repairs or adjustments. -Recommend system improvements, upgrades, or replacements based on field findings. -Respond to scheduled and unscheduled service calls across multiple customer locations. -Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean, safe working condition. -Support minor plumbing repairs, leak detection, and fixture replacements. -Serve as a technical resource for junior technicians and support team members. -Complete work orders, service reports, and electronic documentation accurately and on time. -Assist with project work, equipment installs, and system startups when required. -Represent the company professionally at all customer locations. -Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, pumps, motors, VFDs, air handlers, exhaust fans, and general building systems. -Inspect and repair electrical components including lighting, breakers, switches, and control panels. -Operate and monitor building automation systems (BAS) and respond to system alerts. -Interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and wiring diagrams. -Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and applicable codes and regulations.

What You Bring
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades. EPA Universal certification required; state HVAC or electrical license preferred. Comfortable using CMMS systems, mobile work order apps, and BAS platforms. Ability to work independently and handle a wide range of service tasks on the road. Experience in a mobile technician or service van role. Knowledge of energy management principles and system efficiency. 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, electrical, or general building maintenance. Strong customer service and communication skills.
