Tasks
You will have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously as well as liaise closely with key stakeholders and other departments directly affected by the works. You will ensure that the association follows the appropriate legislation including current Health & Safety legislation. The Group actively encourages the recruitment of staff with disabilities and will make reasonable adjustments at all stages of the recruitment process as required. -Managing the performance of contractors and suppliers delivering Asset Management & Development contracts, such as planned replacement programmes, cyclical maintenance works, new build housing projects and major refurbishments, in relation to contract progress and quality of completed works -Support the tender process, ensuring the Group’s development and planned maintenance contracts are designed and constructed to the highest possible standard -Delivering high levels of customer care throughout project stages ranging from inception through to completion -Monitoring and controlling delegated expenditure in line with budget provision, and efficiencies are achieved through service improvement -Ensure adherence to Group policies, Health & Safety, and planning and building regulations and standards -Collaboration with other teams to deliver Asset related functions and provide technical support to non-technical colleagues

What You Bring
The Clerk of Works is a Hybrid Role, which means you will work flexibly from a range of sites including; working from home, at Caledonia Group Offices (based in Dundee, Perth or West Dunbartonshire), or on a mobile basis to be near customers or assets. Travel throughout our areas of operation will be required for this role. A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role. Candidates must have a working knowledge of building services, in particular heating, ventilation, communal heating systems and low carbon technologies. Previous supervisory, quality control and monitoring experience is required. Flexibility is key to this role as there is a requirement to be involved in the quality monitoring of a wide range of projects. To be successful in this role, you will have a construction background with the ability to carry out the clerking role for a wide range of maintenance, investment and construction projects. You will have technical construction knowledge and legal knowledge of building standards, CIRSE and Technical Bulletins. Ideally you will have an HNC in Building/Quantity Surveying or equivalent, or a Member of the Institute of Clerk of Works. Hours: 35 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
