- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize process control and system performance.
- Support software modifications, backups, and documentation of automation code and drive parameters.
- Use HMIs, diagnostic tools, and remote interfaces for real-time monitoring and issue resolution.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on system reliability and efficiency.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and startup of new automation equipment or upgrades.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain DCS/PLC systems and drives to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Maintain compliance with plant safety protocols, electrical codes, and company standards.

- Associate’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Automation, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field Preferred.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Ethernet/IP).
- Familiarity with motor controls, VFDs, sensors, actuators, and safety circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and Multiple types of Logic.
- Industrial plant setting with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and moving equipment.
- Experience in a continuous manufacturing environment, ideally in fiberglass, paper, or chemical processing.
- TIA Portal-based Siemens PLCs (S7-1200/1500 series)
- Siemens PCS 7 Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- Understanding of process instrumentation (flow, temperature, pressure, level sensors).
- Siemens G120 and S120 variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Solid troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software systems.
- Analog and Digital Sensors (Sick, Vega, E&H, and Banner)
- Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and wear appropriate PPE.
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial automation or controls technician role.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PCS 7, TIA Portal, and Siemens G120/S120 drives.
- Ability to work on-call, as required for support and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of SCADA systems and data logging tools.
