Overview
Manage accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of multifamily properties.

Tasks
-Reconciliations: Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledgers, tenant ledgers, and security deposits. -Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits by preparing workpapers and documentation; ensure compliance with GAAP and local tax regulations. -Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage full-cycle AP/AR, including invoice processing, vendor payments, tenant billing, collections, and owner distributions. -Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow) in accordance with GAAP. -Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. -Lease Administration: Ensure lease data accuracy within the accounting system, including rent schedules, tenant charges, and expense allocations. -Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with property managers to prepare annual budgets and forecasts, providing variance analyses and performance insights. -Cash Management: Monitor daily cash flow, escrow, and reserve balances; initiate necessary fund transfers. -Special Projects: Participate in ad-hoc analysis, process improvements, and system optimization initiatives.

What You Bring
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; CPA or CPA-track preferred. -Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders -Proficiency with Rent Manager or comparable property management/accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, RealPage) -Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe -Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment -Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally within property management or real estate (multifamily preferred).
