Tasks

-Evaluate designs for temporary structures, such as: -Develop and maintain in-house processes, procedures, and quality assurance standards for temporary works. -Provide expert advice on construction sequencing, methodology, and program planning. -Ensure all temporary works meet Australian Standards and align with client specifications. -Assess the impact of construction activities on permanent structures, such as: -Conduct value engineering and propose alternative designs to optimise safety and efficiency. -Identify and mitigate risks related to temporary structures and their impact on permanent designs. -Train and mentor team members on temporary works best practices. -Collaborate with project managers, design managers, and delivery teams to ensure the correct implementation of temporary works on-site.

What You Bring

-Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. -A degree or diploma in Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience). -Mobile cranes, loading platforms, and construction vehicles. -Precast lifting and propping. -A proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach to work. -Skills in crane and rigging coordination, logistics, and safety compliance. -Chartered Professional Engineer -Crane bases, crane ties, crane recovery, and staging. -On-site experience on commercial building sites and expertise in electrical construction. -Construction hoists, alimaks, and concrete placing booms. -Scaffoldings, screens, and elevated work platforms (EWPs). -Temporary structural supports (e.g., props, needles). -Ability to carry out manual calculations -Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies and their impact on permanent structures. -Experience with software like Aconex and Bluebeam. -Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience, including expertise in temporary works like scaffolding, propping, crane bases, and structural supports. -A valid construction induction card and full working rights in Australia. -Conversant with structural engineering software such as RAPT, StructuralToolkit, SAP2000, RamConcept
