Tasks

-Assist the Data Governance Manager with the rollout and ongoing implementation of the governance strategy roadmap. -Collaborate with IT, Legal, Cybersecurity, and business units to implement governance strategies. -Ensure compliance with internal and external data-related regulations. -Develop and maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and conduct data quality assessments. -Define roles and responsibilities to establish clear accountability across the organisation. -Engage stakeholders to align data governance initiatives with business needs. -Support the development and maintenance of data governance policies, procedures, and standards. -Lead initiatives to improve data quality and establish consistent data definitions.

What You Bring

-Experience identifying Critical Data Elements (CDEs), defining and documenting data lineage (both technical and logical), conducting assessments of key data risks and controls, defining data quality rules and standards, and supporting data issue management and resolution processes. -Hands-on experience with data cataloguing and governance tools. -Strong attention to detail and accuracy. -Familiarity with metadata frameworks and their role in governance. -Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. -Demonstrated experience in data governance, data quality, or data management roles. -Exposure to data governance platforms such as Alation, Informatica, or Collibra (desirable). -Preferred certifications: CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) and DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model) -Experience with platforms such as Databricks, SAP Datasphere, AWS Redshift, SAP S/4HANA, and Microsoft Purview (desirable but not mandatory). -Strong understanding of data architecture, modelling, and database design. -Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
