Tasks
The Director of Construction is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all construction operations for commercial projects. This individual will manage multiple project teams, ensure project completion on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial construction management, exceptional leadership abilities, and a strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices. -Ensure all projects meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. -Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. -Monitor project progress and implement adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and objectives. -Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards. -Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings. -Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. -Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing construction management teams. -Resolve issues related to delays, design changes, or unforeseen conditions promptly. -Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and project kick-offs. -Collaborate with the business development team to secure new projects and expand client partnerships. -Proactively identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. -Establish and enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices for construction operations. -Provide strategic leadership and direction to project managers, superintendents, and field personnel. -Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve profitability goals. -Manage contract negotiations, claims, and dispute resolutions in coordination with legal counsel. -Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of all commercial construction projects. -Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and professional development opportunities.

What You Bring
-Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams. -Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in commercial construction management. -Excellent communication and negotiation skills. -Exceptional budgeting, scheduling, and project management skills. -Knowledge of construction industry and all phases of construction projects. -Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial construction projects. -Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, P6, CMiC, Microsoft Project). -Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices. -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
