The Role

Overview

Conduct air quality permitting, modeling, compliance, and regulatory analysis.

Tasks

-Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. -Conducting regulatory analyses related to federal, state, and local air regulations regarding Clean Air Act, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs), and New Source Performance Standards (NSPS); -Preparing emissions calculations and air permit applications; -Conducting air dispersion modeling analysis; -Preparing air emissions inventories and environmental compliance reports; -Providing environmental compliance and litigation support services, such as compliance audits and reviews, hazardous waste and material management. -Performing analyses related to air pollution control systems and source monitoring and measurement requirements; and

What You Bring

-Regular field work and overnight travel. (required) -Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, if applicable. (preferred) -Fieldwork: Up to 20% -Experience in environmental compliance services (stormwater, spill planning, hazardous waste, etc.) and compliance auditing. (preferred) -Advanced degree in environmental or chemical engineering. (preferred) -Strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension. (required) -Experience with air quality modeling (SCREEN3, AERSCREEN, and AERMOD). (preferred) -Experienced in air quality permitting and air quality compliance in Texas (required) and Louisiana. (preferred) -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental or chemical engineering or an aligned scientific discipline. (required) -Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required) -Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required) -Overnight travel: Up to 20% -Minimum 5 years of air quality permitting and compliance experience with an environmental consulting firm or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
