Electrical Tester- Weekend Shift (Avery Creek)

Overview

Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment to perform electrical tests under supervision.

Tasks

-Follow procedures with accurately, efficiently and with strict attention to details. -Record data and write reports; process paperwork timely, accurately, and with accountability. -Troubleshoot and repair various problems that could occur during course of test such as warranty and non-warranty problems; requires Tester to think critically to solve problems with the assistance of an experienced tester (A or B). -Recognize and report quality issues through the correct channels as they arise. -Continuously improve work environment processes; may require Tester to suggest ways to develop test setups and new procedures when current procedures are inadequate. -Test equipment, ensure it meets customer specifications as well as safety and quality requirements under the supervision. -Ensure a safe work environment for self and others and ensure safety procedures are followed. -Build positive relationships that support job objectives and a team environment. -Develop rapport and establish relationships with customers; will interface heavily with customers on witness tests under the supervision and guidance of an experienced tester (A).

What You Bring

-Previous work experience troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems. -Strong knowledge of the following fundamental electrical concepts: Basic Electricity, Motors and Controls, PLC Programming and Fundamentals of AC/DC -Constantly involved in product and process knowledge; requiring additional classroom work, assigned reading, and training from an experienced tester (A). -Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
