The Role

Overview

Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment to perform electrical tests under supervision.

Tasks

-Follow procedures with accurately, efficiently and with strict attention to details. -Record data and write reports; process paperwork timely, accurately, and with accountability. -Troubleshoot and repair various problems that could occur during course of test such as warranty and non-warranty problems; requires Tester to think critically to solve problems with the assistance of an experienced tester (A or B). -Recognize and report quality issues through the correct channels as they arise. -Continuously improve work environment processes; may require Tester to suggest ways to develop test setups and new procedures when current procedures are inadequate. -Test equipment, ensure it meets customer specifications as well as safety and quality requirements under the supervision. -Ensure a safe work environment for self and others and ensure safety procedures are followed. -Build positive relationships that support job objectives and a team environment. -Develop rapport and establish relationships with customers; will interface heavily with customers on witness tests under the supervision and guidance of an experienced tester (A).

What You Bring

-Previous work experience troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems. -Strong knowledge of the following fundamental electrical concepts: Basic Electricity, Motors and Controls, PLC Programming and Fundamentals of AC/DC -Constantly involved in product and process knowledge; requiring additional classroom work, assigned reading, and training from an experienced tester (A). -Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. -Must be able to work flexible hours; including overtime and weekends -Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics from an accredited institution.

Benefits

-No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
