The Role

Overview

Lead forensic electrical engineer overseeing investigations, reports, and client coordination.

Tasks

-Reviews and interprets relevant building codes as necessary for issues about the scope of work. -Coordinates with clients to set up site visits and complete deliverables. -Performs site visits and laboratory examinations to collect data on residential, commercial, and industrial properties. -Manages project resources and sets/meets deadlines to ensure that projects stay on schedule. -Acts as a primary lead on projects. -Produces project reports that synthesize data collected from onsite inspections, laboratory examinations, testing, research, and performance analysis to determine the most likely cause of failure and provide recommendations on repair or replacement. -Makes independent decisions for projects including selection of analysis and testing methods and allocating resources relevant to the project. -If requested, oversees the development of repair or replacement design scope.

What You Bring

-Proven ability to write comprehensive technical reports on inspection results -New England states (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT) -10 years of experience in forensic electrical engineering preferred; relevant experience in design considered -Strong organizational and time management skills. -Active PE license required -Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. -CFEI Certification preferred
