Tasks
The CAD Trainee Technician will participate in creating a safe working environment on assigned projects and act as an assistant for project BIM technical requirements; respond to the Clients technical requirements, develop the outline BEP into a Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and lead project BIM workshops. -Assist in in asset layout during early design development. -Surveying duties using our inhouse FARO scanner. -Undertake Risk Assessments to aid with design. -Assist the engineering team with TQ assessments.

Apprentice CAD Technician 2026 -Understanding fabrication processes and consideration of constructability -Able to read P&ID’s and apply to coordinated models. -Installation technics -Understanding the impact of design in lifting and ALM -Knowledge of pipe fittings and materials -Complete an apprenticeship qualification relevant to the role, to suit your current education level. At the end of the programme, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification in this field as well as learning the practical skills and hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
