Project Safety Specialist

Overview

Ensures site safety, conducts inspections, documentation, and yard duties.

Tasks

-Completes documentation to track material intake or delivery. -Reports all incidents to Field, Project, and Territory Safety Lead with adequate documentation (details, actions, results, recommendations). -Completion of customer safety program requirements. -Completes all necessary internal and external safety related documentation and paperwork as it relates to their shift and phase of work. -Facilitates execution of the DPP program in collaboration with the Project Lead. -Can lift heavy materials and move equipment throughout a jobsite or equipment/materials yard. -Coordinates with project teams to move equipment and material on or offsite. -Facilitates delivery of OATs as designated by the Project and Field Lead to ensure each member of the field team is prepared for their phase of work in a safe and effective manner. -Reviews all work activities on site during their shift to promote safe work practices and appropriate PPE usage. -Engages craft in stretch and flex activity prior to engaging in daily work. -Completes and provides post-observation documentation to Operations and Project teams as directed. -Completes yard duties as needed to support Frontline’s operations. -Communicates Frontline’s safety activity to the customer as needed. -Provides leadership and support to Craft in DPP and OAT engagement. -Completes all required safety reporting for the shift of work they are supervising in accordance with the customer’s stated safety program. -Performs yard management duties as needed. -Monitors all PPE usage across the jobsite throughout their shift, correcting coworkers and ensuring proper supplies are available to maintain a safe working environment onsite.

What You Bring

-CHST certification desired -Willing to work odd hours (3rd shift) and overtime when needed. -Holds OSHA 30 Certification -Capable of walking and traversing a jobsite at all hours.
