The Role

Overview

Entry-level geologist collecting and analyzing soil, water, and pavement data for site investigations.

Tasks

-Create patch tables based on visual distress survey collected data. -Transport material, samples or documents to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. -Assist in visual distress survey for pavement improvement projects. -Entry level geological professional responsible for gathering data and information to be evaluated by other team members. -Support consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery. -Tabulate and prepare data for written reports. -Maintains and calibrates field monitoring equipment. -Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management. -Assists with operation and maintenance of remediation and instrumentation systems. -Assist with report preparation by summarizing data and information within reports. -Prepare pavement coring reports, summarizing different pavement types and thicknesses observed. -Performs sampling and testing of water, soil, and other materials. -Operates field monitoring equipment.

What You Bring

-Certification in field of expertise preferred. -Understand and practice quality acumen. -Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field. -Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
