Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

Lead commercial duties on a large civils project, covering procurement, valuations and client liaison.

Tasks

-Lead all commercial activities on site from pre-contract through to final account. -Oversee procurement of subcontract packages, negotiate terms and manage subcontractor relationships. -Monitor and report on project budgets, forecasts, and profitability. -Prepare and submit accurate interim valuations, CVRs, and cost reports. -Manage change control, variations, and early warnings in accordance with NEC/JCT contracts. -Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams. -Provide mentoring and support to junior surveyors (if applicable). -Ensure all commercial processes are followed and contractual obligations are met.

What You Bring

-Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. -5+ years of relevant experience in a main or specialist contractor environment. -Proven track record on cut & carve / structural alteration / RC frame / soft strip projects. -Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract. -Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. -Comfortable working in a client-facing, project leadership capacity.
