The Role

Overview

Handle calls, messages, and guest services as the central communication hub for the hotel.

Tasks

-Schedule and confirm guest wake-up calls. Assist guests with inquiries related to room and dining reservations. -Coordinate information using two-way radios and back-of-house communication tools. -Respond to service-related calls, including shuttle requests, maintenance needs and general guest concerns. -Provide accurate information regarding hotel availability, rates, amenities, and outlet hours. -Document key information in accordance with hotel protocols. -Maintain accurate notes in Opera (or equivalent property management system) regarding guest preferences, requests, and alerts. -Serve as a liaison between guests and internal departments such as Engineering, Housekeeping, Security, and Guest Services. -Follow established emergency procedures and notify appropriate personnel as needed. -Accurately and courteously take in-room dining orders; communicate requests clearly to relevant departments. -Maintain calm and effective communication during emergencies, including fire alarms, safety incidents, and natural disasters. -Accurately route calls through the hotel’s switchboard or phone system. -Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards. -Support the Front Desk as needed with guest check-ins, check-outs, and message delivery. -Answer all incoming calls promptly and professionally, using a positive tone and clear articulation -Process basic room bookings, including during promotional periods and overflow situations. -Take and relay detailed, accurate messages in a timely manner.

What You Bring

-Proficiency with computer systems, including PMS (Opera preferred) and communication tools. -Clear spoken and written English; additional languages a plus. -Excellent verbal communication and phone etiquette. -Ability to sit for extended periods in a confined space. -Occasional bending, reaching, standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 15–20 lbs). -Prior experience in hospitality, call center, or switchboard operations preferred. -Strong attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. -High school diploma or equivalent required. -Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle guest complaints diplomatically. -Frequent use of hearing and verbal communication.
