Senior Engineering Analyst - Modelling & Simulation

Eaton

The Role

Overview

Perform structural FEM analysis of aerospace fuel system components using ANSYS

Key Responsibilities

  • requirement analysis
  • method development
  • equipment recommendation
  • technical reporting
  • boundary studies
  • team coordination

Tasks

-Interpret aircraft and customer specific requirements and apply as analysis requirements for respective components/systems. -Support development of new methodologies and technical approaches as necessary to suit a given project based on customer inputs. -Providing recommendations for equipment with supporting justification based on technical findings from analysis. -Supporting technical meetings with internal and external customers -Assist in defining compliance strategies for analysis requirements. -Preparing formal reports and flowing technical data to the necessary teams. -Develop boundary conditions to ensure proper physics are captured and perform the necessary studies in order to learn and understand how the system behaves for all types of loading and geometrical variations. -Effectively communicate and coordinate with the global engineering team (Analysis Peers throughout the Aerospace Division, Project Leads, Chief Engineers and Engineering Management within the Fuels team) to ensure components/systems are optimized for customer’s expectations, applicable industry standards, manufacturability and Eaton’s internal quality standards.

Requirements

  • ansys
  • matlab
  • fem
  • creo
  • bachelor's
  • 3 years
