Tasks

-Oversee vehicle traffic and shipments in and out of the facility. -Evaluate and provide feedback on vendor performance to optimize operations. -Ensure efficient handling of large shipment volumes while maintaining operational excellence. -Manage local logistics movements between on-campus facilities. -Lead and develop a team that drives efficiency and operational success. -Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment focused on high performance. -Lead a team of 4-5 Supervisors, each managing unionized crews of 12-15 members. -Drive efficiency and innovation in logistics processes. -Be a key player in an innovative MEP fabrication environment. -Partner with operations to manage inbound shipments from international suppliers.

What You Bring

-Background in FedEx or DSL logistics is a plus. -Strong written communication skills and attention to detail. -Experience working in a union environment (preferred). -5+ years of logistics experience, including team leadership. -AA degree or higher in related field -Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
