Overview
Manage electrical foremen, crew, schedule, quality, and safety at job sites.

Tasks
-Manage crew sizes and forecast requirements for manpower. -Monitor that material is being ordered and arriving on the job site on schedule, and field paper work is maintained correctly. -Review contract drawings, specifications and submittals when the job is assigned. -Execute the change order process. -Actively review projects for Pre-Fab opportunities. Coordinate with the Superintendent to implement Pre-Fab items into the project. -Strategically plan major equipment/material order quantities and delivery time frames that coincide with production schedules and project requirements. -Complete RFIs (Request for Information) properly and when needed and forward to Project Manager. -Coordinate with other trades working on the projects, i.e. Fire sprinklers, HVAC, plumbing, etc. -Maintain dated Contractors Daily Log book documenting jobsite information i.e. delays, weather condition, size of crews, etc. -Review job status tool inventories list and complete reconcile to assure accurate inventory. -Report any unresolved material problems (ordering, arrival, backorders, damages, shortage, etc.) to the Purchasing Manager, Superintendent, and/or Project Manager. -Ensure that Baker Electric’s interpretation of the project’s specifications and job drawings are being executed. Confirm compliance with all contract documents and prevailing building codes. -Monitor field housekeeping activities for compliance with job safety requirements and standards. -Manage and train manpower at the jobsite. -Ensure that tools are in good repair, used properly and not abused. -Be sure that workers have all the materials and tools they need to work as productively as possible. -Provide job progress report to the Superintendent as required. -Responsible for all Company tools on foreman’s projects. -Maintain training/certifications. -Make sure all Construction employees comply with applicable federal, state, city, municipality and union laws and regulations. Maintain good working relations with the union. -Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to resolve any tool or equipment problems: usage, condition, availability, etc. -Assign workers to jobs based on the worker’s strongest capabilities. -Provide Safety information and training according to company policies and CAL-OSHA requirements. -Identify the approximate time required to do each task and determine the size of crew required to complete the job most efficiently. -Promote, and maintain a cooperative relationship with all company personnel, clients and other jobsite contacts. -Ensure proper reporting of employee job injuries. -Forward all union issues and discussions concerning work agreements to Superintendent. -Enforce company policy and procedures in regards to workmanship standards, safety and training. -Process all time sheets in a timely manner. -Arrange proper storage and security for materials delivered to the job site. -Perform continuous evaluation of installation processes to promote increases in production. -Discuss with Superintendent/Project Management possible specification and interpretations not yet defined by Baker Electric, including conflicts with drawings, or differing job conditions. -Interact with the inspectors regarding specification discrepancies by explaining Baker Electric interpretations. If further discussions are required, information needs to be passed to the Project Manager. -Ensure all material installation methods are being completed on schedule with high standards of quality by inspecting work in progress. -Assure long lead items are delivered on time to prevent disruptions in the production schedule. -Communicate material installation with the Project Manager for possible specification or code conflicts or quality problems. -Plan construction work activities to support schedule and with minimal interferences from other trades, and make the most efficient and uniform use of manpower, tools and equipment throughout the job.

What You Bring
-Knowledge of MS applications and a valid CA Driver’s License is required. -First Aid/Adult CPR -Successful completion of I.B.E.W. Apprenticeship or equivalent level of experience. -Certified General Journeyman Electrician – State of California -Electrical Safe Work Practices – Hot Work -Five years of journeyman electrician experience or demonstrated capability. -OSHA 10
