The Role
Overview
Estimate and manage fire alarm projects over $1M, including site surveys and client relations.

Tasks
-Follow up communication with customers during the entire duration of each project. -Develop relationships with both our current and future client base through marketing and other key strategies. -Project take-offs in estimating program. -Continuously monitor all project job cost repots and make sure they are staying on top of any visible issues. -Review project documents, develop bid drawing, and scope of work with the purpose of providing the most cost-effective estimate to be submitted to the customer. -Hydraulic calculations. -Develop detailed and accurate scope of work and preliminary bid drawings based upon information received from customer. -Some project management responsibilities. (Track project progress, change order maintenance, etc…). -Review all engineered drawings for accuracy with the project estimate. -Preform detailed and informative site surveying of their bid projects with pictures and accurate dimensions. -Continuously find new and creative ways of marketing their key customer base. -Preform contract review and checklist for each project sold.

What You Bring
-Self-motivated individual with great organizational skills. -Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Special Projects industry. -Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Fire Protection industry. -Must be organized and capable of multi-tasking. -Excellent communicator in both written and verbal form. -Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record. -Ability to multi-task. -Degree in technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent work experience. Examples include Engineering, Design Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering/Technology, and Construction Management degrees. -High electrical interest. -Good computer skills (Proficient in Microsoft Excel). -Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required -Must be flexible in maintaining customer relationships, while developing new customer relationships. -Previous Business Development/Customer Relations experience. -AutoCad experience preferred.
