Inspects and ensures quality of metal products, coatings, and foundations on construction projects.

Tasks

-Records test data applying statistical quality control procedures. -Utilizes computer to input data as necessary. -Reads and interprets schematic drawings or specifications and confers with appropriate staff to determine quality and reliability standards. -Selects various metal products for testing at specified stages in production, and tests products for various qualities such as dimensions, tolerances, mechanical, electrical or chemical characteristics. -Recommends modifications to achieve optimum quality within equipment capacity. -Tests and inspects metal products, coatings and civil foundations at various stages of the production process and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. -Represents the Company at client meeting concerning Quality. -Evaluates data and prepares written reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. (Including but not limited to; Turnover Letters and Packages, Hydro Test Packages and Non-Destructive Testing. -Directs and coordinates activities of workers on a construction or maintenance project, applying knowledge of machines, tools, equipment, specifications, plant layout, etc.

What You Bring

-CWI Preferred -Valid Driver’s License and be insurable. -Understanding of Concrete Field Testing, ACI. -Understanding of NACE standard. -Understanding of AWS codes. -Must have understanding of and ability to utilize -API 653 -Proficient in generating and checking PQR, WPQ & WPS. -Background check to enter certain client facilities -5 years of heavy industrial construction experience. -ASME codes, PALA Interstate quality control manual, company safety procedures and customer specifications.
