Tasks
-Support the Parametrix team in development of conceptual and detailed engineering and construction estimates. -Conduct market research to understand cost drivers for material and labor. -Conduct quantity and material takeoffs. -Build the Basis of Cost Estimate based on feedback from users, owners, and the engineering teams. -Contribute to a multi-discipline engineering team as a cost estimator. -Establish relationships with clients by participating in workshops, including preparation of defensible data, relevant questions, and risk-based information to guide team decision-making.

What You Bring
-Working knowledge in development of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) estimates to compare long-term economic trade-offs between options and alternatives. -Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management and/or engineering, with a specific focus on cost estimating. -5+ years of experience preparing cost estimates through the planning and design phases of the project life cycle. -Must have a science-based bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as construction management, engineering, economics, finance, or similar. -Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction management and/or engineering, with a specific focus on cost estimating. -2+ years of experience preparing cost estimates through the planning and design phases of the project life cycle. -Exposure to multiple estimating software such as: RS Means Online, Blue Beam (or other electronic takeoff software), Timberline, and HCSS. -Knowledge of the CSI MasterFormat and UniFormat classifications.
