The Role

Lead low-voltage cabling technician overseeing installations and crew in Charlotte.

Tasks

-Lead and perform low-voltage cabling installations, including Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A. -Use Fluke test equipment to verify cable performance and troubleshoot issues. -Ensure all installations meet company and industry quality standards. -Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics. -Install and configure patch panels, network devices, WAPs, security cameras, and AV systems. -Build and organize MDF/IDF rooms: install ladder racks, cable trays, racks, and cabinets. -Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling, including mechanical and fusion splicing. -Manage daily site operations, oversee technician crews, and coordinate project timelines. -Document testing results, installation progress, and project closeout information.

What You Bring

-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. -Proven experience leading field crews and managing project installations. -Strong expertise in copper and fiber cabling installation and terminations. -BICSI certification or manufacturer-specific training (Panduit, Corning, Siemon, etc.). -3-5+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling and network infrastructure installation. -Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills. -Knowledge of construction safety standards and field work best practices. -Experience in data centers, commercial, healthcare, or industrial environments. -Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and project tracking tools. -Proficient in using Fluke testing equipment for copper and fiber validation.
