Tasks

-Support Material Cost Reductions for Assigned CategoriesAssist in supplier contract negotiations Closely monitor market drivers affecting the category including raw material pricing and availability, supplier capacity, industry disruptions and new products. Aid in forecasting, reporting, mitigating, and recovery of commodity inflation -Identify and engage with internal stakeholders across engineering and operations to capture category requirements -Assist with monthly and annual category financial reviews with project information, metrics, forecast and strategy, if applicable -Manage Submittals and Shop Drawing process -Monitor supplier’s quality and delivery performance -Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels -Closely monitor market drivers affecting the category including raw material pricing and availability, supplier capacity, industry disruptions and new products. -Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for estimate preparation -Conduct category analysis and support assistant category mangers and category managers -Coordinate with project teams and other trades -Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance -Assist Design Phase with material selections based on client needs -Project CoordinationCreate and Maintain procurement logManage Submittals and Shop Drawing processCoordinate with project teams and other trades -Assist with the Financial Success of Category Assist with monthly and annual category financial reviews with project information, metrics, forecast and strategy, if applicable -Create Proposals -Estimating and ProcurementInterpret project plans, specifications, and details for estimate preparationSolicit quotes from manufacturers and trade partnersUnderstand project specifications and qualify manufacturer quotes Create Proposals Assist Design Phase with material selections based on client needs -Assess potential opportunities for categories including spend segmentation, category maturity, cost drivers, and supply market analysis -Manage Design Phase, Estimating, and Procurement for Key Projects Estimating and ProcurementInterpret project plans, specifications, and details for estimate preparationSolicit quotes from manufacturers and trade partnersUnderstand project specifications and qualify manufacturer quotes Create Proposals Assist Design Phase with material selections based on client needsProject CoordinationCreate and Maintain procurement logManage Submittals and Shop Drawing processCoordinate with project teams and other trades -Create and Maintain procurement log -Support Relationships with Key Suppliers Maintain relationship with suppliers at the appropriate levelMonitor supplier’s quality and delivery performance -Solicit quotes from manufacturers and trade partners -Maintain relationship with suppliers at the appropriate level -Assist in implementation of Category Strategy for Assigned CategoriesIdentify and engage with internal stakeholders across engineering and operations to capture category requirementsAssess potential opportunities for categories including spend segmentation, category maturity, cost drivers, and supply market analysis Support Annual Category Reviews including updated projects, metrics, strategy, and risk mitigation strategies -Assist in supplier contract negotiations -Support Annual Category Reviews including updated projects, metrics, strategy, and risk mitigation strategies -Aid in forecasting, reporting, mitigating, and recovery of commodity inflation

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or related discipline, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience -Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days. -Ability to collaborate and influence without authority -Current driver’s license -Effective communication and presentation skills -Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. -2+ years of experience in a similar role -Knowledge of construction processes, equipment and/or materials, purchasing processes and procedures -Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. -Foundational business acumen, with familiarity with strategic thinking and negotiations -Time management and decision-making skills -Understand project specifications and qualify manufacturer quotes -Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
