The Role

Overview

Finishing turbine cores: remove edges, smooth, inspect, patch, document.

Tasks

-Will operate the company computer system, Mercury, to review and follow work instructions and collaborate with other team members to ensure production quotas are achieved. -Performing acute care in handling the core to avoid surface damage, cracking, or overstressing and to acquire the desired finish. -Completing inspections visually and with a magnifying glass of cores for defects, cracks, and tool marks to verify the completion of work. Working in sections and sequences. -Update and maintain necessary documentation in the system and on the work orders as needed. -Will participate in daily production meetings to review production schedules and the priorities of work orders to be completed meeting daily targets and priorities provided by team leads and members of management.

What You Bring

-Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. -Ability to read Engineering instructions and mechanical aptitude. -Employee must be signed off to work on the Multiwall Advanced Cores. (DSC and Criteria) -Employee must be signed off on Tier 2 Core Finishing (DSC and Criteria) -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. -Knowledge of or interest in industrial machinery and ability to perform basic math functions using the metric system. -This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law. -Employee must maintain less than 5% Scrap (evaluated monthly) -Employee must be signed off on Tier 1 Core Finishing (DSC and Criteria) -Employee must maintain less than 10% Rework (evaluated monthly)
