Tasks
The Senior Civil Estimator develops accurate, detailed construction cost estimates for all Civil related trades at all project design stages. The Senior Civil Estimator leads and trains Team Members, while following the Preconstruction standards and processes. -Assisting with the development and utilization of the Preconstruction processes, standards and tools -Identifying risk items and associated order of magnitude -Contributing to cost savings exercises -Assisting with Preconstruction-Operations Turnover Meetings -Assisting with Preconstruction resource management -Participating in Preconstruction software development, maintenance and historical costs -Collaborating with Preconstruction Leadership -Assisting with project procurement and buyout -Assisting with the development of bid packages -Assisting the Pricing Lead and participates in estimate review meetings -Leading and training Estimating personnel -Assisting with Subcontractor and Vendor relationships -Assisting with the project construction budget -Collaborating with designers and clients -Collaborating and assists the project operations team -Developing associated scope of work clarifications -Developing accurate, detailed civil construction cost estimates at progressive design stages

What You Bring
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. -Strong organizational and communication skills -Traveling as required, 10% - 20% -Proficient with on screen takeoff software, such as Planswift -Demonstrated sitework estimating experience preparing quantity surveys and cost estimates for all civil construction scopes of work, requiring complete knowledge of labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costs -Estimating software experience required, Beck Destini Estimator preferred -Experience developing detailed cost estimates for civil projects, including earthwork, site utilities, process yard piping, roads, site finishes, deep foundation systems, earth retention systems, dewatering systems, bypass pumping, etc. -Proficient with earthwork software such as Agtek or InSite -Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and 5 years of estimating experience preferred or 15 years relevant experience in the construction industry -Self-perform estimating experience -Experience within Water/Wastewater and Industrial markets -Proven computer skills, including the utilization of Microsoft Office programs -Design-Build and CMAR project delivery method experience -Revit/Navisworks experience preferred
