What You Bring
If you’ve built revenue streams, led teams, and successfully scaled a business from a strong foundation to the next level, this role is for you. We’re looking for a proven business builder—a General Manager with a track record of growing and scaling a business or division. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll set the roadmap for growth, lead a small but mighty team, refine our systems, and create new opportunities. You’ll work closely with the Executive Team but have the freedom to own the day-to-day and make your mark. -Mobility: Visits to jobsites require being outdoors for extended periods in variable site conditions which will require walking, hiking, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time during the day on varied terrain: dirt, rocks, concrete, grass, wet and dry surfaces, finished and unfinished landscapes and varied ground conditions. -Strong vendor and client relationship skills, with proven ability to deliver white glove service to high-end clientele. -Protective Gear: Requirement to wear clothing for the expected site and weather conditions, including protective clothing and hard-toed boots/shoes (where dictated) -Entrepreneurial mindset—you know how to build, grow, and adapt quickly. -Confidence representing a business externally and growing its reputation in the marketplace. -Demonstrated success owning and managing a P&L of $5M+. -Lifting, Carrying and Moving: Possible lifting, carrying and moving up to 20 lbs. or more of plant and landscape-related materials onsite or to/from the site and in the office. -Experience building teams, systems, and processes from the ground up. -10+ years of progressive experience in business management, operations, or sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. -A proven record of scaling revenue and driving profitability, ideally in a specialty services, procurement, or design-adjacent industry. -Working conditions: Our clients’ projects are across the USA, and therefore this position requires the ability to be outdoors occasionally at jobsites in all weather conditions and throughout all seasons: sun, rain, ice, snow, etc., depending on location.
