Tasks

-Intern will be involved in metrology for perovskite solar cells and study of its reliability. -Provide weekly updates on the status of the assigned project to the above engineer. -Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day. -Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis. -Perform tests & monitor established procedures, compile data and analyze the results of said data, then communicate the results/conclusions to the above engineer. -Will push or pull up to 37 pounds of force on a frequent basis. -May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis. -Must comply with all safety standards and procedures. -Will push or pull up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis. -Intern will work with project engineers to characterize prototype perovskite solar cells and modules. May also include developing and executing new test methods and test structures.

What You Bring

-Good knowledge of physics concepts, experience in collecting data from experiments. -Ability to analyze data, present it in an effective manner periodically to team leaders, collaborate with other team members and be open to adapt to new challenges. -Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to: steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &/or arm guards, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection & respirators) and a condition of employment and continued employment (may require little or no facial hair). -Will climb stairs or steps on a frequent basis. -Agile mentality, responds well to a fast-paced work environment. -Pursuing Physics or Electrical engineering. -4 months (Winter/Spring 2026). -Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction. -Demonstrated ability to work independently, self-motivated, independent worker who can flourish in individual or team-based environments. -Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team. -Experience with fundamental Microsoft technologies: Windows OS, Office 365, etc. -Experience of working in hands-on technical settings, lab experience is a plus. -Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis. -Effective communicator with good oral and written communication skills. -Experience with solar cells/photovoltaics preferred. -Ability to make data-driven decisions. -Experience in data analysis software like JMP and additional knowledge of programming is a plus. -Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program. -20/40 vision in both eyes (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required. -May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
