Overview
Lead category management for nuclear supply chain, overseeing $5bn procurement

Tasks
-Develop and implement category strategies aligned with project goals and procurement best practices. -Lead end-to-end sourcing processes including RFP, supplier evaluation, and selection. -Manage category savings budget. -Monitor financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. -Accountable to lead the Category Management team -Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the category. -Identify ways to reduce costs and improve service. -Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers to ensure favorable outcomes. -Support the project and / or business cash management strategy. -Identify and mitigate supply chain risks within assigned categories. -Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements. -Conduct market research and spend analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation. -Ensure full compliance to agreements. -Carry out category mapping exercises to identify opportunities and risks. -Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure alignment with category strategies. -Deliver individual savings plans and specific savings targets as agreed. -Act as a trusted advisor to business units on procurement-related matters. -Manage supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, and regular business reviews. -Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategy.

What You Bring
-Commercial Acumen -Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA or professional certification such as SCMP is an asset). -Travel will be required -15 years of experience in category management, in a complex or matrixed organization. -Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. -Proficiency in leading and managing teams. -Strong analytical skills and high competency in supplier selection and evaluation. -Strategic Thinking -Problem Solving -Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, other) and Microsoft Office Suite. -Experience in equivalent industries to the nuclear sector that operate to a high level of quality assurance standards i.e. defense, aerospace, oil & gas etc. -Strong Negotiation skills -Experience with managing similar category markets to those listed above. -Strong negotiation, analytical, and supply chain management skills. -High competency in value engineering and performance improvement. -Large Nuclear Components: Turbine, Steam Generators, Fuelling Machine, Degasser Cooler.
