Reconcile GL accounts and prepare month end journal entries with supporting documentation
Works with different divisions for intercompany processing and reconciliation
Identify internal process gaps and provide recommendations for improvements
Assist in continuous process improvement and ad-hoc projects
Assist/prepare working papers required for quarterly and annual reserves & allowances
Analyze profit and loss variances to prior performance and budgets.
Provide advice and guidance on accounting matters including financial systems, record keeping, analysis, and reporting.
Prepare and analyze divisional & departmental monthly/annual financial statements while striving to ensure their accuracy and completion on a timely basis.
Provide insight into various accounting requirements including CRA requirements.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff
Assist with the preparation of documentation required for the annual external audit
Provide operational level analysis on monthly financials and trends and highlight the areas for improvement

Solid understanding of financial metrics, corporate finance, and accounting.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with drive for continuous improvement.
University degree in Business/Accounting, preference will be given to those who possess an advanced degree or professional accounting designation (such as CPA). Consideration will also be given to those who are currently enrolled or possess the pre-requisite requirements for the CPA program.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze large data into meaningful conclusions with recommendations.
2 - 3 year(s) experience working as a Financial Analyst or Senior Accountant role.
Able to work as part of a team and independently.
Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
