Project Mechanical Engineer

Tasks

-Assure timely and appropriate processing of contractor submittals -Maintain project files and calculations for assigned projects -Produce designs for engineering requirements -Maintain technical competence by staying current on appropriate codes and technologies -Estimate, monitor and control construction costs -Assure quality and completeness of the engineering design -Perform and/or supervise on site condition surveys -Prepare and adhere to budgeted hours for project -Monitor conformance to project scope and document deviations at the time of discovery -Mentor staff; May provide supervision to other engineering team members on a project site JD -Prepare technical reports -Participate in client meetings regarding engineering systems -Coordinate engineering requirements with architecture and other engineering disciplines -Assure complete documentation of engineering requirements -Assess project staffing needs and schedule observance

-Thorough understanding of the engineering systems within a specific discipline -Effective communication skills (written and oral) -Demonstrated thoroughness in design coordination and contract document development in area of concentration -Registered Professional Engineer -Expertise in area of concentration -Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent -Demonstrated record of consistent quality work -General understanding of engineering principles and systems within other disciplines -Highly proficient in BIM -Thorough understanding of advanced engineering principles and calculations -7+ years experience -Proficient in the use of state-of-the-art tools for engineering design and documentation
