The Role
Overview
Provide on‑site support, maintenance and troubleshooting for power‑plant excitation systems.

Tasks
-Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop and implement effective technical solutions. -Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies in excitation and control systems. -Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of excitation systems. -Ensure full compliance with Siemens Energy and customer safety standards at all times. -Provide technical support and training to customers on operation, maintenance, and best practices. -Prepare detailed service reports, documentation, and recommendations for internal and customer use. -Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to both hardware and software components.

What You Bring
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. -Strong knowledge of control systems, power plant operations, and use of diagnostic/test tools. -Willingness to travel frequently (domestic and international). Valid driver’s license required. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction. -Proven experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of excitation systems (Siemens Energy or equivalent). -3–5 years of field service experience, preferably with excitation systems or power generation equipment. -Ability to work independently in the field with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. -Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
