CAD Technician

Overview

Create 2D/3D mechanical drawings and models using AutoCAD & SolidWorks.

Tasks

-Support multiple projects and manage priorities to meet deadlines -Produce system interconnect and block diagrams for product documentation -Develop mechanical layouts for backplates, enclosures, and custom components -Create 2D drawings and 3D models of parts and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks -Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve mechanical or machining issues -Inspect incoming fabricated parts for accuracy and quality -Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all assemblies and wire harnesses -Maintain and update the company drawing database and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

What You Bring

-Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or similar 3D modeling software) -Knowledge of machining processes, materials, and finishing methods -Previous experience working in a manufacturing, construction, or production environment -Certificate or degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred -Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills -3+ years of CAD drafting or mechanical design experience -Strong understanding of mechanical drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerancing -Familiarity with document control systems and engineering workflows -Experience designing enclosures, backplates, or cable harnesses
