The Role

Overview

Design and manage electrical systems for low‑mid rise commercial, medical, and educational projects.

Tasks

-Plan, design, and provide specifications of low and medium-voltage power systems and lighting projects. -Collaborate with multiple professional disciplines and be required to work within project deadlines -Be involved in the development of new business opportunities and support of existing clients -Apply computerized analysis and design tools -Develop technical solutions to deliver the design through documentation and detailing while preserving the design intent -Manage one or more small to medium-sized projects and/or a portion of a large project -Foster a commitment to external and internal client service -Complete necessary project-related calculations and authoring of specifications -Perform project management duties, including assisting individual project managers with the development and management of project budgets, scopes, fees, and production coordination with progression toward independently performing these duties -Assist with the design of low to mid-rise commercial, medical, educational, and industrial facilities, complete site observations and inspections, and technical report creation -Participate in all project design phases along with construction administration

At EAPC, we have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Designer/Engineer in our Building Services division! The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with our architects, engineers, and clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including healthcare, education, and public safety. -Experience in 3D modeling, visualization, and modeling software; REVIT, SKM and AutoCAD strongly preferred -Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills -Experience working on healthcare projects preferred -Willingness to travel as required to meet project and corporate demands -Registration as a Professional Engineer or an EIT with the ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe is preferred -Experience in a firm or consulting environment preferred -Working knowledge of engineering systems -Valid driver's license -Demonstrate an ongoing and consistent ability to work within the EAPC team culture -5+ years of experience required -Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn -Ability to understand and communicate with professionals of other disciplines -Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required -Project management and business development understanding -Collaborative and professional work ethic -Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
