Tasks

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations at IMAR Overseas KSA, ensuring the accuracy of accounting records, compliance with applicable standards and regulations, and the integrity of internal accounting processes. -Provide training and support to accounting staff on ERP usage and compliance. -Act as the point of contact for accounting-related inquiries and provide guidance on accounting policies and procedures. -Supervise daily accounting activities including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, and fixed asset management. -Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations, tax laws, and labor requirements. -Coordinate with HR for payroll-related accounting and employee cost allocation. -Review and approve journal entries and ensure all reconciliations are properly performed and documented. -Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring clear responsibilities, performance standards, and continuous professional development. -Prepare and validate internal reports and ensure alignment with external audit requirements. -Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes. -Regularly assess and improve accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and control. -Ensure accurate data entry and proper use of ERP systems across all accounting functions. -Collaborate with project teams and departments to ensure alignment on accounting procedures and project cost tracking. -Lead the implementation of system improvements and upgrades in coordination with the IT and operational teams. -Develop, implement, and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records. -Maintain up-to-date and compliant accounting records in alignment with International Accounting Standards (IAS) and company policies. -Support external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.

What You Bring

We are currently recruiting a Chief Accountant - Arabic Speaking with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to high-quality reporting and operational excellence. -Proven experience in managing accounting teams and complex organizational structures. -Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 10 years in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally in the construction industry. -Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred. -Strong command of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. -Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines. -Arabic Speaking -Solid knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS) and local compliance requirements.
