The Role

Overview

Fabricate, cut, and assemble steel plates per drawings, ensuring quality and safety.

Tasks

-Maintaining material traceability during assembly. -Aligning and checking tolerances. -Guiding overhead cranes and hoists where trained for moving and assembling plates. -Tack welding fabricated parts together. -Measuring and marking out plates and sections for cutting. -Responsible for cable management, general good housekeeping in working area. -Working in confined space scopes where required. -Operating Bandsaw where required and trained to do so. -Assembling steelwork in line with engineering drawings. -Reading & Interpreting Engineering drawings.

What You Bring

Dayshift: 37.5 hrs per week Backshift 37.5 hrs per week -Operating projector where required and trained to do so. -Working in line with strict adherence to Quality/Health & Safety Procedures and processes, and adherence to legislation. -Operating plate cutting machine where required and trained to do so.

Benefits

Overtime based on project requirements. Monday – Friday from 0700hrs – 1500hrs ( -£21.80 per hour Dayshift -£32.70 per hour Overtime 1 (Monday- Sat 1st 4 hours) – Project needs dependent -Flexibility to ‘sell back’ holidays at year end or carry over -Company Sick Pay Based on service -23 days holiday plus statutory (rising to 25 plus statutory with service) -£43.60 per hour Overtime 2 (Sat post 1st 4 hrs & Sunday) – Project needs dependent -Pay care Health Cashback Scheme -Life Insurance £40k -£26.16 per hour Backshift
