The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of systems and processes that ensure compliance with UK legislation, ISO standards and internal procedures. You will conduct regular site audits and inspections, oversee risk assessments, lead investigations following incidents, and ensure that corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively. You will also play a key role in maintaining and improving ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits at all times.

As QHSE Manager, you will work closely with site and operational leaders to embed a proactive and positive safety culture, delivering training and engagement initiatives that encourage safe behaviours and accountability at every level. You will monitor and report on performance metrics, analyse trends, and identify opportunities for improvement to support the organisation’s strategic QHSE objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will have significant QHSE management experience in multi-site or high-risk operational settings such as logistics, plant, or construction. You will hold a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification) and Lead Auditor certifications in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. A strong understanding of UK HSE legislation, including COSHH, PUWER, DSEAR and LOLER, is essential, as is the ability to engage, influence and communicate effectively with staff at all levels. A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel nationally are required.

Chartered IOSH status or progress towards it, as well as an environmental qualification such as the NEBOSH Environmental Certificate, would be advantageous.
