Tasks

-Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections; repair or replace defective parts; install special functional and structural parts in devices. -Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. -Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to the sounds to locate cause of trouble. -Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. -Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers. -Perform monthly inspections on all production equipment and replacement parts; Confer with department managers to coordinate monthly inspections -Layout, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. -Operate overhead and jib cranes, operate industrial forklifts and man lifts. -Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures. -Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine. -Lubricate and clean parts. Start devices to test their performance.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematic drawing for pneumatic and hydraulic systems. -Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management. -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. -Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. -Ability to repair and maintain physical structure of establishment. -Ability to repair and maintain overhead bridge cranes Jib Cranes and other types of machinery require diagnosing and making solid recommendations to repair all equipment as needed. Must have knowledge in repairing, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems. -Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime. -Ability to dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
