  • Maintain clear, professional communication with customers, contractors, and Shermco team members.
  • Ensure strict compliance with LOTO, NFPA 70E, and OSHA 1910 electrical safety practices.
  • Oversee and support the installation, testing, and startup of low- and medium-voltage systems (480 V–35 kV) at industrial and utility sites.
  • Collect field data for arc flash studies, including breaker/fuse data, conductor sizes, and equipment nameplate information.
  • Interpret one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and control drawings to validate installation quality and troubleshoot field issues.
  • Assist in reviewing test reports, punch lists, and field documentation with project managers and engineers.
  • Coordinate effectively with union labor and on-site supervisors, helping drive progress and solve field-level challenges.

  • OSHA 30 certification and current NFPA 70E training a plus.
  • Experience in critical industrial environments (pharma, utility, water, manufacturing).
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
  • 10+ years of field electrical experience, with exposure to both 480 V and medium-voltage (up to 35 kV) systems.
  • Prior exposure to arc flash study workflows (data collection only; analysis performed by engineering).
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites regularly (some overnight travel required).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting one-line diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Strong understanding of hazardous energy control procedures and field safety practices.
  • Requires physical activity, use of PPE, and work near energized equipment (with strict adherence to safety procedures).
  • Experience working on or alongside union electrical crews.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Travel includes driving and occasional air travel to support project needs.
