Tasks

-Reviewing ISO feasibility and system impact studies to provide guidance to our clients, who are ISO Interconnection Customers. -Preparing new generator interconnection applications, including development of conceptual single line diagram, verification of compliance with reactive power requirements, and development of steady-state, dynamic, and short circuit models to support the applications. -Transmission system planning and analysis, including studies in load flow, stability, short circuit, and electromagnetic transients (EMT), to support a variety of clients such as ISO/RTO and electric utilities.

What You Bring

-A minimum of 6 years relevant power systems engineering experience with utility or consultant -Knowledge of power regions and ISOs/RTOs, such as: PJM, MISO, NYISO, ERCOT, SPP, CAISO, WECC, SERC, ISO-NE -Experience in Python, Java Script, or other scripting languages -Experience using transmission planning software for load flow modeling, contingency analysis, and stability analysis using PSS/E, PSLF, TARA -Experience in load flow and contingency analysis to identify transmission thermal and voltage constraints and to identify transfer capability limits -FSA & HSA -Experience in short circuit analysis and using software programs CAPE or ASPEN -Experience in stability analysis to identify critical clearing times, identify voltage constraints and analyze power system damping -Experience in electromagnetic transient analysis using PSCAD -A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and sufficient industry experience is considered in lieu of an advanced degree
