The Role

Tasks

-Conduct basic and advanced log analysis on batteries and inverters. -Enter and maintain cases assigned until completion. -Partner with other teams to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service, as needed. -Conduct field activities under the Long-Term Service Agreement LTSA of each site. This includes preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, firmware upgrades, mechanical upgrades and engineering modification. -Investigate, respond to and generate reports on field incidents involving Trina batteries. -Lead the execution of system commissioning. -Participate partner product training programs and be certified to service them. -Work independently and as a team to provide maximum customer experience and technical support to Energy Storage customers. -Actively engage in technical discussions with inverter and EMS partners to troubleshoot. -Actively engage in field dispatches as needed by key customers. -Document site visits and product analysis to enable continuous improvement of troubleshooting procedures, product installations, and product robustness.

What You Bring

The Sr Field Service Engineer will travel to various job sites to commission systems, complete maintenance work, troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment, warranty service, and ensure energy storage systems are working to their full capacity. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Industrial Maintenance. Energy storage experience is beneficial but not required. This is a remote position, with travel to job sites in the surrounding area. Candidates must be located in the MA, CT, or RI region. Visa sponsorship is not available. Whether it’s launching next-gen products, entering new markets, or helping customers navigate complex interconnection and tariff environments, our team is driving innovation where it matters most. -Strong customer service skills, able to communicate and present professionally and effectively. -Experience as a technician or engineer is required. -Prior solar/energy industry experience preferred, or similar. -Proven track record of completing tasks with minimum supervision. -College or technical degree desired but not required. -5+ years’ work experience in field service role or equivalent. -50% - 75% local region travel (with occasional to other regions).
