Tasks

In this role, you’ll lead the design and delivery of high-voltage distribution projects (Up to 33kV), ensuring technical excellence and consistency across all outputs. You’ll also support bids and proposals, mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. -Develop single line diagrams, layout drawings, and technical specifications. -Lead the production of designs, calculations, reports, and drawings for HV projects. -Work on impactful infrastructure projects across the UK. -Ensure compliance with IEC and BS EN standards and client specifications. -Provide technical interface with third parties and suppliers. -Support recruitment, onboarding, and resource planning management of junior staff in the HV team. -Participate in risk reviews, HAZID sessions, and design reviews. -Conduct electrical network studies including load flow, fault level, and protection analysis. -Guide CAD technicians and ensure quality control of drawings and documentation. -Use software tools such as ETAP, DigSilent, MathCAD, ProDesign, PSS/E, ERACS.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain security clearance for this role as required by our clients and sectors. -Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD tools. -Proficient in technical report writing, specification and drawing production. -Working toward Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is beneficial but not essential -Holds a Minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering with HV/Power background (MEng/MSc preferred). -Familiarity with client specifications (e.g. MOD, SSEN, UKPN). -Strong experience in HV distribution design (Up to 33kV). -Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
