The Role
Overview
Develop precise traffic control estimates and generate sales to secure projects.

Tasks
-Communicate with clients and contractors to clarify project details. -Follow up on submitted bids and awarded projects with contractors. -Support Senior Estimator with daily estimating tasks. -Adjust pricing based on project scope, location, and client needs. -Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and contractors. -Coordinate with operations for smooth project handoff after awarded. -Follow up on inbound leads and identify qualified opportunities, providing the right information at the right time to interested prospects. -Stay informed on local, state, and federal traffic control regulations. -Present solutions in a personable and consultative manner to align with client needs. -Generate formal quotes and proposals using estimating software. -Work closely with the Operations team to ensure successful scheduling and follow-up of work. -Identify missing or unclear information and flag for clarification. -Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs (e.g., cones, signs, flaggers). -Track bid deadlines and ensure timely proposal submissions. -Participate in internal reviews and contribute to process improvements. -Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs using takeoff data. -Revise estimates based on feedback or scope changes. -Handle customer escalation issues with professionalism and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them promptly. -Build and maintain strong professional relationships through networking and proactive communication. -Analyze construction plans and traffic control drawings.

What You Bring
-2-4 years of experience in estimating, construction, or a related field -Strong written and oral communication skills. -Ability to read and comprehend traffic control plans preferred. -Personable, pragmatic, and professional demeanor. -Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the company. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). -FDOT Advanced MOT or ATSSA certification preferred. -Working knowledge of the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) and FDOT Standard Specifications preferred. -Must be able to quantitatively perform plan QTY takeoffs. -Experience with estimating software. -Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management. -Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. -1 + years of Sales or client-facing experience, especially in roles involving negotiation or business. -Sales prospecting, including warm calls and consistent email outreach to both current and net-new accounts.
