Tasks

-Develop and execute the data science roadmap and strategy, aligned with company goals -Architect and oversee scalable, production-ready data pipelines and ML models -Represent Omnidian at industry events, conferences, and with key stakeholders -Engage directly with clients to understand needs, present insights, and demonstrate value -Execution Focus – Turns strategy into scalable, operational solutions -Integrate predictive and prescriptive analytics into core technology and processes -Advocate for best practices in data science and ML deployment -Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and rapid delivery -Serve as a subject matter expert in renewable energy data science -Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists and ML engineers -Set clear priorities and measure impact against KPIs -Strategic Leadership – Guides team vision while delivering measurable results -Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations to prioritize and execute high-value opportunities

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree is a plus -4+ years of experience in data science leadership, building and managing data science teams -Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark) -Proven experience building and scaling data science teams from the ground up -Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimental design -Cross-Functional Collaboration – Communicates effectively across technical and non-technical teams -7+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of building and deploying models in a production environment -Strong programming skills in Python and expertise with a relevant data science stacks (e.g., pandas, etc) -Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders -Technical Excellence – Deep expertise in ML, statistical modeling, and experimentation
